Pre-and post arrangement: Expedition Antarctica

Dear PolarQuest traveller,

Here is information about the additional arrangement that we offer in connection with our trip, Expedition Antarctica, the great penguin adventure 9 – 29 November 2025.

This program starts when you check in at Hotel Madero in Buenos Aires. You will have to book your own airline tickets to/from Buenos Aires.
The program is as follows:

08 November

Checking in at the centrally located hotel, Hotel Madero, in the morning. After leaving your luggage at the hotel and perhaps had a delightful breakfast or a cup of coffee, we will head out for a sightseeing tour. We will be picked up by bus at the hotel and embark on an exciting city tour, which will include a visit to the corvette Uruguay, which rescued Otto Nordenskiöld’s expedition in Antarctica in 1903, as well as the La Recoleta Cemetery, home to Eva Perón’s tomb. Upon our return, a lunch awaits us. Afterward, we will check into our rooms and have a well-deserved rest before enjoying a delicious first dinner together.

09 November

After a maybe late breakfast, we will have some free time. Perhaps some may wish to visit Buenos Aires oldest café, Café Tortoni, or purchase postcards to send home. Later, we will make our way to the airport for our flight to Ushuaia.

We fly with Aerolineas Argentinas to Ushuaia:
09 November AR1890 Buenos Aires – Ushuaia 15.25 – 19.05

On arrival in Ushuaia, we make our way to our hotel, Hotel Albatros with a fantastic view of the Beagle Channel. It will be a late dinner, but even if we are tired after the day, it is exciting to know that tomorrow the expedition we have all been waiting for begins!

29 November

Our expedition ship Ocean Nova returns to Ushuaia, the world's southernmost city early in the morning. This city is beautifully situated at the foot of the Andes snow-capped mountains and is surrounded by the Beagle Channel. Here we will have a few hours to explore this small town before we make our way to the airport and onto Buenos Aires.

We fly with Aerolineas Argentinas to Buenos Aires: 
29 November AR1883 Ushuaia - Buenos Aires 13:20 – 16:50

When we have arrived in Buenos Aires, we will be met at the airport and transferred to our now familiar hotel, Hotel Madero. A little later in the evening it is time to enjoy our last common dinner together.

30 November

After a long, enjoyable breakfast, or for some, a stroll to purchase a final souvenir, we will be picked up by bus at the hotel before heading to the airport to begin our journey home.

It is time to bid farewell to our new friends and go our separate ways.
