Equipment list

As there will be quite a few different activities, some variation in clothing is necessary. However, if possible, bring only one piece of luggage in addition to your hand luggage.

PASSPORT

• Passport
• Copies of your passport, airline tickets and insurance card.
• Medicines (if applicable) 

CLOTHING AND FOOTWEAR

• Light summer clothes like shorts and T-shirts (the dress code on board is informal).
• Swimming gear.
• For the ladies maybe a sarong or light beachwear.
• A thin rain jacket/wind jacket. We can experience short rain showers during the trip.
• Warm sweater for cool nights.
• A large brim hat or cap for protection against the sun.
• A pair of walking shoes or ankle high, sturdy sneakers.
• A pair of sandals.
• When up in the highlands it might get very cold, especially mornings and evenings. Good to pack a thick fleece/jacket, long pants and even gloves.  

LUGGAGE

• 1 soft bag – a large backpack or soft duffel bag for clothes and equipment to check-in. A soft bag is recommended as it is easily stored in your cabin.
• 1 backpack – small and preferably water resistant, to use in the dinghies (pangas) and during shore excursions. 
  
  

IN ADDITION WE RECOMMEND

• A good pair of binoculars 
• Waterproof bags to protect your camera from getting wet during rubber boat cruises.
• Motion sickness medicine – pills, wrist bands or patches for seasickness.
• Pen and paper
• Water bottle
• Sunglasses (preferably polarised sunglasses).
• Sun cream with very high factor.
• Converter for South America.
• Travel Pharmacy (sea sickness tablets, lip balm, aspirin, diarrhoea pills, plasters etc.)
• Ear plugs
• Walking sticks – please note that they must be foldable and stored in the checked in luggage. (There will also be a number of walking sticks available for use on board.)
• Your own snorkelling mask, if you have one and are planning on snorkelling. The ship carries snorkels, fins and masks, but it is always more comfortable to wear your own mask.

CAMERA EQUIPMENT

• Camera & several memory cards
• Charger & extra batteries
• Camera case for protection against dust and water during the trip
• Cleaning cloth for camera lenses.
