Margherita fell in love with the wilderness of the north for the first time, while completing her master thesis at the Czech Research Station "Petuniabukta" in Svalbard. She lived for two months in Svalbard and in 2019, she went straight back to the North of Norway, to Tromsø and started working as a whale watching tour guide during the day and a northern lights guide during the night. To stay on board ships and to live the adventure guide life exceeded all her expectations. In 2022 she will be working as a PolarQuest guide in Svalbard.
Margherita is from Italy. She has got a bachelor's degree in Biology which she studied in the beautiful city of Trieste. She also got a master's degree in Marine Biology from her time in the south of Portugal, close the beach of Faro.
Margherita loves snorkeling and she has worked as a guide in the Maldives. She got to snorkel together with mantas, turtles and sharks, while teaching the importance of protecting our oceans and ecosystems.
When Margherita is not guiding, she is living in Italy with her family where she also works. She enjoy drawing, traveling and of course spending a lot of time in nature.

M/S Quest was cruising at 80°N, around Moffen Island, and most of us never been so close to the Geographic North Pole. This mytical point in the middle of the Arctic Ocean. All around us, multiple birds were flying. From Kittywakes to Glaucus Gulls and Black Guillemots which were spotted nearby from time to time, as well as ringed, harped and bearded seals lazying on the ice floe.
