Nadja Junghardt

Born in Germany, Nadja has lived in several countries including the US, Finland, Norway and Svalbard. Nadja obtained a Master’s degree in Microbiology in Bergen, Norway during which her interest and curiosity for the arctic environment grew. Since 2022 she has been living and guiding guests on snowmobiles, hikes and boats in Svalbard, introducing them to its wild and fascinating nature.

From single-day to multi-day trips she brings the arctic closer to guests, always trying to spark interest for this unique environment. During the dark arctic winter months Nadja guides down south in Antarctica. As a keen outdoor enthusiast she has a wide skill-set, ranging from wildlife and outdoor knowledge to scientific enquiry into microrganisms. She can always be found outdoors with a big smile on her face and she loves to explore new or remote areas on foot, bike, snowmobile, ski or while ice and rock climbing.
