Carina Svensson
Coordinator Greenland and GalapagosCarina plans and coordinates our trips, including those to Greenland and Galapagos. Outside the office, you're most likely to encounter Carina in a kayak or on a mountain top somewhere in the world. Spending time in nature is a major driving force for her.
Carina has been in the travel industry since the early 90s and has been fortunate to travel extensively both privately and professionally. She started by working at hotels in London, pieced together a round-the-world flight ticket back home, and then spent a few years working at a business travel agency in Texas. Carina has visited most of PolarQuest’s destinations, as well as some more unusual places such as Franz Josef Land, Kyrgyzstan, and has a particular fondness for mountains, especially summit climbs like Kebnekaise and Kilimanjaro.
She is also the person who coined the term "Plogga," which was named one of 2017's new words. The concept of plogging has received significant international attention and involves picking up litter while out jogging.

Trips with PolarQuest
Svalbard, Greenland, Antarctica, Galapagos, Northern Norway, several ReQuest-trips
I work with our ReQuest trips, which are destinations requested by our previous travellers. These are travellers who were extremely satisfied with us and want the PolarQuest concept to be available at other destinations. Our first ReQuest trip went to South Africa, and since then, we have tested many different places around the world. Currently, we are working with Galapagos within this concept.
