Our final day on expedition with PolarQuest on the M/S Stockholm, we scanned the horizon for signs of life. Marine life.
Already successful in the first three days, we had amazing sightings of humpback whales, orcas, and even a fin whale. But we always try for more.
Beau Bear, the ever hard working scout extraordinaire, manned his usual position above the bridge, rugged up as always in full beast mode.
Orcas.
Once spotted, our captain Magnus skillfully maneuvered the ship into position as the pods wam on an interception course across our portside bow.
As the day drew on, we spotted and maneuvered with over a hundred individual orcas, all scouting along Altafjorden, searching for food.
What a beautiful Earth we live on.
